Induction Cookers that Seniors Will Love

Last Updated on September 17, 2024 by Jake

An induction cooker is not too difficult to operate. I have been a fan of it and senior citizens will also like this technology. What are the options?

First things first, induction cookers can come in different sizes but we are going to talk about the portable countertop.

How much is it?

The average cost of an induction cooker is around Php 2,500 to Php 4,000 but this is only for portable ones. It has a single burner so it is small in size.

What should I consider?

  • Affordability is a primary concern so we picked the not-so-expensive brands but still with high quality standards.
  • Next, it should be portable and not too heavy. A person of any age, especially older individuals, should be able to carry and move it easily.
  • Third, it should be easy to operate. I know that seniors do not like complicated things. They deserve to have a relaxing retirement year so don’t bother giving them difficult to use appliances.

Here are some good induction cookers suitable for senior citizens.

Kyowa KW 3635

I chose this one since it is one of the cheapest in the market. The current retail price is Php 2,000. The buttons are on the side which makes them easy to access. Of course, the functions are printed per button so you will not be confused using it.

Hanabishi HIC60

This one from Hanabishi is only Php 2,135 as of this writing. We have one at home and it has never failed our cooking, especially pancit canton :). Of course, you can do more than that, it can cook delicious meals all day.

What is the benefit of this appliance?

Well, using this will completely eliminate fire in your kitchen. No more LPG since this is electric.

Also, there is a timer. You can adjust it so you won’t burn anything that you cook.

Lastly, it is not going to increase your power consumption more than what you spend on LPG. In fact, Meralco even promotes it so people can save on their total household expenses.

Have you decided yet? This would be a good gift option especially if your parents or grandparents are foodies.
